Founder of Candle & Co

A Stanford student, giving back to the community that raised me.

I'm a student at Stanford, and I built Candle & Co because I didn't want to just leave the community that raised me behind. Access to real financial education was never something I could take for granted growing up — and I know I'm not the only one who felt that gap.

This site, the curriculum, and the Discord are my way of putting something back in: a place where people from the community I came from can actually learn how markets work, without a price tag or a gatekeeping culture standing in the way.

Candle & Co started as one desk's daily notes on the Nasdaq 100 — nothing more than a habit of writing down what price was doing before the US open, using ICT concepts as the lens. ES got added once it was clear the two indices set up differently often enough to be worth reading side by side.

Along the way, the mission became bigger than the notes. The racial wealth gap in this country is well documented, and a lot of it comes down to access — to capital, to mentors, to financial education that doesn't assume you already have a head start. Candle & Co is one small, direct attempt to close that gap: real ICT trading education, a community that shows up for each other, and a price that doesn't put any of it out of reach.

That's why membership includes a private Discord — a place to ask questions without judgment and learn alongside people building the same skills — and a full video library, so nobody's shut out by a schedule or a slow internet connection on trade day.

The $10 price exists for the same reason. The goal was never to gatekeep the method behind a "funded trader" price tag. It's to get real financial education in front of the community it was built for.

The spark

Daily notes, no audience

Private notebook tracking NQ price action through an ICT lens, purely to sharpen my own read.

The widening

ES joins the notebook

Reading the S&P 500 alongside NQ made structure shifts and liquidity sweeps easier to confirm across both indices.

Going public

The public track record begins

Calls started getting posted publicly, wins and losses both, to keep the desk honest about what was actually working.

The curriculum

The curriculum — and the mission — take shape

The eight-module curriculum was written to answer "what is that called" once, properly — built alongside a clear intent to make it affordable and accessible to the Black community.

Today

Candle & Co

A private Discord, a full video library, still trading nothing but NQ and ES, still $10 a month.

A few things the desk won't compromise on.

Access first

$10 a month, a free tier, and a Discord that's open to anyone serious about learning — cost should never be the reason someone's shut out.

Losses shown, not hidden

The weekly review grades every call. A record with only wins isn't a record — it's marketing.

Concepts over signals

The goal is a member who can eventually spot a setup themselves — not one who's dependent on the desk forever.

Come see how the desk actually reads NQ and ES.
